The Best Day of My Life
In the midst of a scary world, here are words of encouragement for all of us.
The Best Day of My Life
Today, when I awoke, I suddenly realized that this is the best day of my life, ever! There were times when I wondered if I would make it to today, but I did. And, because I did, I’m going to celebrate!
(Psalm 100:1 ~ Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands! Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before His presence with singing.)
Today I’m going to celebrate what an unbelievable life I have had so far…the accomplishments, the many blessings, and yes, even the hardships because they served to make me stronger.
(James 1:2 ~ My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.)
Today I will go through this day with my head held high and with a happy heart. I marvel at God’s seemingly simple gifts…the morning dew, the sun, the clouds, the trees, the flowers, the birds. Today, none of these miraculous creations will escape my notice.
(Psalm 121:1 ~ I will lift up my eyes to the hills… My help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth.)
Today, I will share my excitement for life with other people. I’ll make someone smile. I’ll go out of my way to perform an unexpected kindness for someone I don’t even know.
(II Peter 1:7 ~ Add to your faith virtue…to godliness brotherly kindness love. Phil 2:4 ~ Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others).
Today I’ll give a sincere compliment to someone who seems down. I’ll tell a child how special he is, and I’ll tell someone I love just how deeply I care for them and how much they mean to me.
(John 3:16 ~ For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life.)
Today is the day I quit worrying about what I don’t have and start being grateful for all the wonderful things God has already given me. I’ll remember that to worry is just a waste of time because my faith in God and His Divine Plan ensures everything will be just fine.
(Phil 4:6-7 ~ Be anxious for NOTHING, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with THANKSGIVING, let your requests be made to God…(and then what happens?) AND THE PEACE OF GOD WHICH PASSES ALL UNDERSTANDING WILL GUARD YOUR HEARTS AND MINDS THROUGH CHRIST JESUS!
And tonight, before I go to bed, I’ll go outside and raise my eyes to the heavens. I will stand in awe at the beauty of the stars and the moon, and I will praise God for these magnificent treasures. As the day ends and I lay my head down on my pillow, I will thank the Almighty for the best day of my life.
(Psalm 100:4,5 ~ Enter His gates with thanksgiving. Be thankful to Him and bless His name, for the Lord is good. His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations.)
And I will sleep the sleep of a contented child.
(Matthew 11: 28 ~ Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.)
Excited with expectation because I know tomorrow is going to be the best day of my life, ever!
