Somehow, she always knew. She knew me better than all the talented, amazing coaches I worked with in learning the art of writing my memoir. The Lonely Little Lemon Tree
I didn’t have the heart to tell him it wouldn’t work, so I just said, “Thank you so much.” I knew that he meant well. We were newlyweds and he wanted so much to please me. Since he grew up in Canada there is no way that he could have known that citrus trees don’t grow in the shade. He had thoughtfully observed that I put lemon juice on everything: vegetables, in my salad dressing, on Mexican food, fish, and even on some desserts.
